How do i achieve 28/30 and 38 on the front?
I assumed 30t middle rings would be available but don't seem able find any :?

Or 28t inner ring and run a 38 outer in the middle position?

Any other ideas? ;)

They are many option out there, Specialité TA offer many combination of chain ring, like 28t inner (64mm bolt circle), and 38,40,42,... Middle (102mm bolt circle). I use to ride 28t 42t Specialité TA. I just offset the crank (outboard bearing type) to get a better chaine line.

Have fun.

28t granny, 38t middle, trouser guard (or 'bash' as the youth call them).

Although 22/38 sounds much better to me...

Am about to go 29-40 on my RC300 when the rings arrive from Middleburn.

But this will be a 94 BCD setup.

Have a word with Middleburn. Was down there the other day and was inspired by the options for double and triples.

Am going for a 34/50t double like on a modern road bike compact set up.

.

i'll drop them an e-mail.
I think 28 with either 36 or more probably 38 would be perfect for me.
That matched with 11-34 9 speed at the rear should see me able to haul my ass out of any situation :D

22/34 is so much nicer on the knees than 28/34 though...
