I have been noticing recently on different bike and accessories brands the stripes of Blue, Red, Black, Yellow and Green. I have noticed them on Boardman, FSA, Ritchey and Colnago and other brands.
Can anyone tell me what they mean, or where they came from?

Yep, Boardman have them because Chris Boardman was a world champion. Not sure if the other brands have this claim (would be interesting to know the champions behind the brands).
