I'm tempted to try out a Joplin but keen to hear opinions on longevity, sealing qualities, weight penalty etc
anyone used a Crank Bros Joplin or other 'dropper' seatpost?

Yeah, I figured the remote would be much more convenient, although prefer the look of the levered joplin.
Fed up of worrying about catching my knackers on the front of my saddle on steep sections, so this might be the way forward for me

Ive also read about the need for almost constant maintenance on some models, and sideways/aft play in the bearings.
I like to ride with my saddle high when covering any kind of high(ish) mileage.
