... I put a 200x50 rear shock on my frame in place of the stock 200x57?

Less travel? Bike falls to pieces? Certain death?

You'll get more than 14mm less travel. If that makes sense. It'll depend on what the moment is ...if you have 150mm travel from 57mm stroke you'll get 131.5mm from 50mm stroke.

Aye- 14mm less shock stroke will result in more than that in actual travel at the droput end of the swingarm. And also the entire earth will be destroyed............

Hmm... mumps doesn't sound great but if I understand it right should the world end I wouldn't be required to go to work tomorrow. This shock is sounding more and more attractive.
