I've acquired a set of cable disc brakes on an old bike, but the levers were manky so I've binned them. Will V brake levers work ok with cable discs or do I need disc specific ones?

Avid SD7's being the best, as you can adjust the pull for the feel that you want. Just my opinion, of course.....

"emotion" :lol:

I liked my XT V levers with cable discs. Can't comment on SD7's as I've not used them.

You speak the truth, Avids are the best cable disc brakes available in my opinion.
