Not as much as I feared. There is however a problem - my dropout doesn't have the pre drilled hole for the lower mounting bolt. Does anyone have a link to an on line template or schematic so I can accurately drill it please?

pretty sure these were for the '99 onwards frames which had the hole pre drilled.

mine didn't have the hole pre drilled as it's a 97/98 FSR, however it did have a little hollow near the dropout which is where the hole needs to be drilled.

take it slow you'll be fine, mines not cracked or broken yet :P

Or you could always pass it on to me for my 99 elite :) ;) although I am in the midst of possibly getting one myself! So painfully close it hurts :)
