Hi guys,
Looking for a little help from the experts out there.

The O2 I'm building needs a 34.9 top pull mech - and I've just bought an XT one, except....

When I try to fit it, the marks on the frame where the previous mech was are waaay lower than where this one would fit. This one would have to sit in between the bottle cage bosses.

So do I have a top swing and need a bottom swing - or vice versa?

Thanks in advance!

I've fitted mechs in the spot your talking about without any issues :?

But i think the mech you assume should be there is a top swing.

also done the same thing.
technically it shouldn't even effect the ability to put a bottle cage on.

No not at all i'd say, most cages sit above the bosses with enough clearance for the mech. The only one i had a bad fit with was a plastic affair, but a but of hacking with a stanley knife fettled it nicely

Ok - you can call me a tart later - but.....

The tubing/frame sticker is between the two bottle bosses.

Tt was badged as an Evo2 - but isn't.

Do I move it?

is there a possibility that the previous mech was a low clamp and your new one is a top clamp version?

as for the tubing sticker, why not give orange a ring and see if you can get a new one then re-locate it higher up where they used to be.

you know what that seems like a pretty good idea to be honest.
