I'm thinking of retiring my 10 year old helmet for one of these new fangled wrap around jobs. Does anybody own one of the following helmets and can they offer their thoughts on them?

1. Fox Flux
2. 661 Recon
3. Giro Hex

Get the one that fits you best.

Helmets that fit my head shape are

Uvex XP100 (comfiest helmet I've ever worn)
Met Kaos (not as comfy as the Uvex, but very good)
Met Strada (IIRC)

Giro helmets are well regarded too.

Xen is a nice looking helmet too, but bloody expensive.

I worried about the cost too. After I got a text from Jango saying he found my helmet in the road after I had driven out of the car park last week. Giro Xen Helmet £100 - Ay-Up lights (attached to helmet) £200 - Pearl Izumi gloves £30, all left in the road after I forgot they were on the roof of my car.

I've tried on all the helmets and they all fit me fine, I guess I have a universal shaped bonce! I guess I should have been a little clearer, I was more looking for feedback on how well they are coping with use.

I bought my Xen to replace my giro E2 (which replaced my supermoto, all giro)
Both of which are very very comfy, excellent ventilation
If anything it's cooler wearing it than not wearing it
The hex has seems like it came from the same stable, well vented and a good retention system too :)

The Xen has a more organic shape to the vents whereas the Hex is very angular. I have a big noggin and found the Xen to be a perfect fit. The best helmet I have ever owned. Have had a big accident wearing one as well and the helmet came off better than me.
