Good morning.

Can you help me. I need to identify what rims I have. They are Mavic disc specific but I don't know if they are 317 or 717. How can I tell?

Weigh them is one way.
XC717 DISC should be ~395g
XM317 DISC should be ~440g

other than that dimensions will help but a vernier calliper will be needed and there is the profile of it, but rather that try to describe it go to http://www.tech-mavic.com and use mavic-com & dealer then have a look

717 is welded, 317 is not.

There is also the X317 from around 8 years ago, weighs ~400g too

Nice rims, had a pair laced to Hope XC disc hubs.

Do you know anymore about the X317 rims? Were they welded or pinned?
