Single speed chains ?

Do these need to be specific ?..or can any 8/9spd or any other type be used.

The one on my P7 is a little rusty ( previous owner used it little, and knew not what oil was )

Also it is a little heavy...

I have a barely used Durace IG 8spd..can I use this ?

In short yes you can use any chain.

The SS specific ones are sold as being more heavy duty.

In reality I have never had a problem reusing/using 7/8/9 speed chains.

Depends what chainring/cog you are using. Singlespeed ones can be 1/8 where 7/8/9 are 3/32. If its 1/8 chainring/cog then I don't think the 3/32 chain will work.

Ta..I will check.

The ring as RF one..so I think 8/9spd compatible according to CRCs website.

The rear is a shimano one..think both are OE.

But best to double check.
