Topping up oil in a rear air shock

can this be done at home by me..... :oops: just wondered before I buy a new shock or get this sent off for a service :oops:
 
if its air then i wouldn't. they tend to be under pressure. still got a dent in the roof at work where some one tried the same :shock:
 
When I get a replacement I will shoot it with the shotgun and see what happens....pics will follow :LOL: :LOL: :LOL:
 
is that the float? the negative air chamber on these (in the 'stanchion') is filled with nitrous oxide i think, big no no
 
Nope not that one cyfa...the bloody o2 thing that came on my trek...it is a bit squelchy,functions ok but the noise is doing me head in and the fox wont fit it :roll:
 
O2s are serviceable/rebuild-able by a competent home mechanic. It's not that hard.
