I'm thinking about changing the spec on my '98 Kilauea, starting with the fork. I'd like to keep with a rigid fork but fancy something a little different to a Project II. So - what are my option?

Any help or ideas would be most welcome :)

Here's a pic of the frame the fork is intended for..

Think they'd be too short. Look nice tho'..

They did them 420 thou?

Was that the carbon RC31? I don't know too much about Pace forks.

I'd quite like something like a Dekerf tuning fork (without the daft price) or maybe something in the style of a BOI. I think also a segmented steel fork might look quite cool .

So 1997...
Look at the Tange Strut forks or designed based around that look e.g Orange F7.
Though the Tange Big Fork-S cast dropout that may match the Kona 97 rear droput design, though it a unicrown designed fork.

Any fork better than the P2 is going to be a daft price.

Spec' has changed a bit since this photo was taken, now has a Syncros ti s/post & matching polished stem, silver skewers & gone are the 'red' Ritchey WCS tyres.
