Budget of £50 - ideas please

Try a couple on, if it fits well, you are more likely to wear it.

Personally I like the Giro Indicator, which is the bottom model, but don't liek the models above it

+1!
Find one that's comfy. Different makes suit different shape heads.
All should do the job. With expensive helmets, you're really only paying for more holes...

Go try them on, never just buy.
Too much difference between brands and even styles in the same brand.

Measure your head before you go to make it easier.

Halfords have a couple in you can try, then your LBS should have some.

I've recently bought a MET Velino SIM (I think :lol ) was comfy and as I was mid size on the band, I can wear a thin thinsulate hat under it in this weather.

Get the one that fits best.

For my head it's either the Met Kaos (comfy) or Uvex XP100 (really comfy)

Giro Zen & Hex are always recommended on forums

Bell are said to fit those with a larger head better than other brands

Time to pop into your LBS

Which just goes to show that you need to try before you buy ;)

Or you just have an odd shaped swede :p
