So, whats the choice, and of them whats best do we reckon.

Reliabilty, stopping power and availability of spares etc.

Planning on sourcing a set for a fund FR full susser....so heavish build carrying an overwieght ( 14st ) old man.

Thinking maybe Magura Marta or Louise, XT m755....any opinions.

Or perhaps Hope....C2s would it be ?

C2s. There can be only one....

Only spares you'll need will be pads and they are easy to find.

Otherwise DH4 or Enduros are spot on time-wise too.

The original one peice Hope m4s will be early naughties and perfect for a rufty tufty bike, especially if you find a set with the Pro levers rather than the later Mono lever.

I had some early formulas c1996 or 97 :? they were really powerful for the time, but needed bleeding regularly...read twice a year, levers were lovely as well

Thanks Gents, didn'treally consider Formula..or hayes for that matter.

Took the plunge and opted for some C2s..
