OT reassembling M770 shifter

Bloody hell, I've had to lube my shifter coz it was barely shifting but it's not going back together. Any ideas?

M770 shifter....

If you bought this new and it's less then 2 years old, you really shouldn't have taken it apart. If it's used then fair dos. But don't expect it to go back together again.

Put it this way, I've exchanged "one or two" m770 and M970 shifters under warranty in my lifetime for they symptoms you describe. Shimano are always cool about it.

Thanks for all the hep guys; it's still not going back together quite right, it wont clip together around the adjuster barrel but it's back together of a fashion.
The problem with the shifter was that a spring had come out of it's hole so one of the pawls wasn't holding the ratchet in place. The action is so light now I nearly broke the lever when I test rode it!
Thanks again, if any one has managed to get this back together properly let me know as I'm sure it'll seize up again soon with the gap in the case.

have taken shimano shifters apart before, and put em back together ok, can't remember how, same story, take things apart, label them up, top tip though is to reasemble bits as you disassemble things ie, remove shifter handlebar bolts, remove shifters from bars, place bolt back in shifter and start to dissasemble the main body, so on.
