I'm looking into taking the last of this years holiday, loading the car up and heading off somewhere for 3 days riding somewhere.
Want somewhere that can deal with the shitty weather that will be sure to be in place when I go
I prefer decent cross country/single track to mental downhill/trail centre stuff and will be riding my hardtail 1993 Rock Lobster.
I live about as far south as you can get and dont really want to spend a day each way driving.
Any suggestions??

Been thinking of South Wales.
Did Afan and Brechfa in the spring and enjoyed it (especialy Brechfa!).
Considering Forest of Dean too. Does it get very claggy there in winter anyone?

Black Mountains or Dark Peak should easily keep you going for 3 days.

The lake District, more trails in a small area than you can shake a stick at...or a bike.
