Hi All

I'm toying with converting my 1999 Kona Explosif work bike into my main 'Keeper' hardtail. I don't ride any of my other bikes so they are going on Ebay one by one.

Can you suggest a suitable modern front fork to fit the 1999 Kona Explosif please. I'd thought of using the original Marzocchi Z2 Light but I'm wanting to move over to disk brakes for this build. I'm thinking something post 2010 maybe so it's not too old and clunky.

I'm reputedly rubbish when it comes to suspension so forgive the ignorant question :)

Thanks in advance.

Re:

2003 Marzocchi MX comp? For me, the answer is never not an MX Comp.
But seriously, they are great if you hate servicing as they never need doing. 1 1/8" straight steerer too, so will match your frame. Disk and V-brake compatible but when you remove the v-brake bosses they look very clean due to being recessed.
They are buttery smooth, air sprung, bombproof.

2004 100mm Marzocchi Marathon S would be ideal. Very supple HSVC damper, coil spring & open bath. Call winners.

But tough to find. Other option would be a good looking well maintained SID.
