How s*#t are RockShox PushLoc levers?

Re:

I’ve still got a front shifter, but I’m the Antichrist so it doesn’t apply.
I’m gonna muddle through with my crap lever for now but prob convert it to a manual lockout as it’s much tidier and more user friendly. Plus there aren’t any others for sale right now!

Re:

You can convert to manual lock out for free. You just need to remove the oil side damper (after removing the dial). Once you have the damper in hand, hold the body and unscrew the top clockwise/opposite to normal. Pull out the cap and shaft and you'll see a spring attached. Remove this then out it all back together. Voila.

You will have a remote dial i.e. round, but you'll be able to turn it easily and have a crown lockout.

Re:

I bought some SIDs with the remote not working, it turned out to be caused by a kink in the inner cable up near the lever. Worth a look I'd say.

For a 20¢ part, they sure do seem to sell for top dollar. Anyone tried a suntour lockout on a rockshox fork, the suntour levers feel better / more solid, and are cheaper / more available.
