Hiya, I got this off a mate a while ago. I quite fancied rebuilding it but gone off it now. It's an 'aggressive XC' frame, he used it for commuting and general trails, looks like a cable guide was glued back on and the condition of the metal doesn't look great.
What do you think?
Sell/build/donate or scrap it!?

Good advice. Thanks. I suppose that's the only way to know for sure. I've backed away from Ali Alloy. My arguably bombproof Dr Jekyll wasn't as much fun as I'd hoped and my Revolution Commuter was loyal cheap but bone shaking harsh. This could be the only alloy frame I have in stock now sort from the boss's Merlin. Be nice to have 1 in the stable. Or get rid!?

Re:

I don't think that's worth putting much time/effort into tbh.
use it as it is for a commuter bike.
you'll never get back any time/money you put into getting it looking respectable.

but then that's true of many retro bikes!

That's true even a powder coat idea for a cheap retro frame seems reckless!
It's locked in a cellar at the moment was going to dehoarding it...
