2007 Yeti 575 thoughts

I have recently purchased a 2007 Yeti 575 with a carbon rear end.
I would like to hear your thoughts, experiences of these bikes as this is my first full susser.
Also,is the carbon rear end a weak point?

Got one, id describe it as a heavy duty fs, certainly nit a lightweight xc bike.

Sizing is a bit weird, L frame falls in between the usual L and XL.

As far as i kmow, on the alloy swing arms, there is short piece of carbon fibre in the seat stay which does away with a pivot. Seem to recallreafing somewhere that it been known to snap but pretty rare so nothing to worry abiut.

Will need long travel fork 120 mm or more.

In summary, heavy and strong, weird frame sizing.

Glad to hear it's more of a heavy duty full susser, will probably suit my riding style (or lack of skill a bit better.)I tend to break lightweight xc bikes easily.

Mines a medium sized frame that feels a little cramped at the moment but ,I'll move the saddle back and ditch the nasty narrow xc handlebars at the weekend.Hopefully, this will do the trick.
The forks are 140mm Fox RL 32 so there's plenty of travel upfront.
