A nice Dean Soft-tail with a bit of USE for good measure. Is that a bit of Ringlé I spy there too? 8).

It's a shame the frame is as ugly as sin.
This has been an Ebay regular since the spring.

Quite true. It does seem to lack the Dean elegance, doesn't it?, not even Titanium's classy looks can rectify it :).

This one is up for grabs in Denmark for about £400:

It's been there for about a year!

It's not too bad a deal actually, especially given the negotiating room you'd have on an item that's been on the market as long as that one has.

I personally love the Dean brand, but If I were to invest I'd want a Scout. The magazines at the time of the Duke's release seemed to favour the Scout over it's stable-mate, saying that the extra travel/ ride comfort gained by having the softail was negated by it's woeful tyre-clearance, hence having a hardtail with a bigger/wider tyre would garner the same effect as having the softail, but simultaneously allowing for extra tyre choice.
