If I remember correctly these were only built a couple of years ago from NOS Columbus tubing. The only modern equivalent is a De Rosa Neo Primato that you can get in Molteni or Faema colours - the former is really beautiful.

Shame this Merckx is a bit small

Bloody grab it if it's your size. They didn't make many, and they're a legendary frame for taller or heavier riders, or those who put out a load of power (which is a polite way of saying if you're not built like the Cannibal or a Couch potato, you'll get a nicer ride from a Corsa).

They were something like £1200 for the frameset a couple of years back. The stupidest bike-related thing I ever did was to sell my Corsa Extra, and a pretty silly thing was to pass up the offer of one of these for £400 brand new.
