I do not know whether respraying is a really good idea

..well, actually I do: No! My 2cts.

"Custom Paint = 14 layers of Red, Orange, Black that was wet sanded down to give it a woodgrain effect. 7 layers of clearcoat to keep it smooth. Absolutely one of a kind. Paint by Grove Innovations. "

Probably more work went into the paint than into the rest of the bike. It is a piece of art.
