The M910 was available in SG AND SGS. The M900 only is medium cage (SG).

Think you're right.
I have a long cage m900 here in my hands.....but on the "long" part :?
there's a sticker that says " designed for use with fh-m900-sgs".
So probably aftermarket (shimano?)

I have been busy on my website, and I have listed all the XTR groups with all differences, took a lot of time, but it was fun.
What I found is the RD-M900 was made from 1992 till 1994. In 1995 the derailleur was replaced by the RD-M910. The pivots were new and it was available in long and medium cage.
But the one you have is that the M900 or M910?

Yowser! Anyone know if those tyres are available over here?
Think they're called FasGrip K1.9, assuming "reifen" is german for tyre
