Very strange bike.

CBR Gate Crasher jump bike. Always wanted one of these. All that triangulation in the frame makes them appear sturdy, and even the name implies toughness.

Just googling around, I see that CBR also made a full-sus version: "Chunky Gate Crasher".

I can't find a lot of info on these bikes. Can anyone here provide some background about them?

Other than being odd-looking, what's the issue with these bikes? Are they overly heavy? Do they break easily?

Cheap-o parts can always be replaced with quality ones. I've seen some fairly decent frames adorned with rusty junk, and although one could argue it's not worth the time to strip and clean them, un-stick a post, etc., but put some nice parts on them and they're great bikes.
