I think its pre trek, as it has a one piece bar/stem. I think the trek ones used seperate seat collar rather than welded bolt.
somewhere in between i would say. it is a 1996 in burgundyblue but it already has the thinner Attitude downtube. so this is essentially an Attitude frame with Adroit name and price tag... the earlier MC2 Adroits had a 2" down tube and for most that makes it a "true" Adroit, plus the rigid Strata fork. some say the move to the Attitude downtube was Trek dictated to cut costs others say they ran out of the 2" down tubes and they were too fragile (thin walls) anyways.
all the other features are still like on the pre-Trek bikes though (welded-one seat post clamp, press-fit bb, canti brakes only). but it was built after the merger. the same frame was available in 1997 and 1998 in the yellow orange fade (Koi). still with MC2 bar-stem combo but with threaded bb shell and V-brake ready.
