what the F is this for a zillion bucks

Re:

Bidding starts at £999.00
Here's a picture for posterity so that its image may be forever seared into the brains of future generations lest they make the same mistake as their forbears.

Here's another one for a bit less money (Frame only for $599.00 BIN or Make Offer):

From this picture one can see that the chainstays are designed to flex with the rear suspension, so I'm guessing that the frame is not made entirely of carbon fiber.

Still too much for your wallet? How about this one for 50 €:

After searching the web for reviews, I found a lot of chatter about rarity, but nothing about ride quality. Maybe someone here wants to give it a punt at 50 € and review it? Appearance doesn't necessarily indicate poor performance, but even if the ride was superb, would you want your friends to see you riding it?

Not to derail, but I also found this Arrow frame that actually looks fairly tempting, and the price is a respectable 165 €:

I'm not comfortable with the amount of research you have put into this brand.
Are you George Osbourne, looking to fill some of your spare time by researching and condoning these 'items'?

Sorry, I mean Gideon

I was alone, I was bored, I had a couple of drinks, and I had the internet at my fingertips.
Do the math ;)

I think its ace, the research^^ that is.....deffo nothing ACE about the bike or the design concept

most enlightening read, which left me thinking thats got to be the kind of design people who don't ride would come up with for a PHD
I'd love to meet the team and as just one question "What the hell were you thinking?"

I get weird or WTF designs like a Slingshot but that takes it to whole new level.
