Looks like a respray - vinyl decals not lacquered over.

Goodness knows what it started off as. Likely guess a Fire Mountain, I agree...

Yes agreed, it is a good colour match for the 1994 A A.

Various shades of grey were found on the 1995, 1996 & 1997 models of A A.

Now I’ve noticed that the frame’s serial number is documented in the advert, it seems that this is a 1996 model – the last year of the dog collar rear brake stop. The seller appears to be under the illusion that it is Easton Aluminium and a genuine A A, as opposed to a steel frame - more likely to be one from the lower end of the hierarchy.
