Well, yes, they did employ 'yokels' to weld - just maybe they didnt have the pulse weld equipment that would have been used in Taiwan.

LGF, You miss my point (or I am incorrect) I thought all 6061 Zaskars were welded in the states. My point was they quickly got better, the fish scale welding on my '92 is exquisite! Yes penetration is important (isn't it always) but looks should come into it as well (always!)

If the 2x4 forks are original then it would be 1991, rather than 1992. And yes, it is a 20" frame.
