my next door neighbour broke his hand last week because (against my advice) he got forks too long for the frame geometry and it steered terribly.

thats the point in talas forks (that this Yo had), wind the forks down for flats & climbs. let them out for full on decents. when modern race bikes like the yeti ASR come with 69degree head angles you can be sure that the "steeper is better" angle brigade is pretty outdated ;)
