That is bizarre and the price is a nuts but I get the mudguards and triple front/single rear - I have the same set up. It's on my winter commuter. It's very hilly round here so I need the range but I also need to leave the bike out in all weathers and the more delicate right shifter/cable soon seizes up. I wanted a bike I'd spent nothing on so I wouldn't care what the weather did to it so I just put an old 5 speed wheel on and set it to the middle sprocket
