Did the 'Mountain Klein' branding overlap with the early 'Klein' or was their a date when one identity ended and the other officially started?
I guess it was 'MK' to differentiate from the early 'K' roadbikes, then with mountain biking taking off, the 'M' could be dropped to equal if not prioritise the market for offroad? I wonder what the volume of Klein roadbike sales to mountainbike sales was in 1988/89.
