Any idea what is it then?

I'm not sure but I think the manufacturers name begins with V and sounds Italian. The frames were then adorned with names of various producers.

It's a Verlicchi Bromont, Sintesi, Kona, and Iron Horse had them as part of their range in the early/mid 90's
