Bet it was stuck so he tried to remove one of the bottle cage bolts to squirt some WD40 down the tube but that was stuck too. The red mist decended, shreared the bolt and everything else before sheepishly taking it to the LBS who removed the seat and post in 2 seconds.

Either way, if it says low it'll do on the donor side. The P2's (CM), cable hanger (rare), dog collar, stem, rims - I ended up using / part using in other builds and I'm sure folk here could use too.
