'95 Kona Kilauea

Re:

The seller has now added the following to the advert;

"***note due to a few queries this bike has not had a respray it’s original paint and lacquer like a cream/white colour with pearl fleck - many more on google this colour***"

They have described the colour and finish well. Compare this to the random examples that I have on file, which I added in my second post. The picture that I added in my first post from the advert however, does indeed look almost too perfect, like a Glacier White.

So what's the verdict?

Pip.

Re:

Looks good to me. '95 Kila's are pretty rare and this looks in great condition!

It's a strange one I would say it's 94 kit built onto 95 frame and forks, possibly a warranty replacement

That I need to get a new pair of glasses. On a mobile screen it just looked a bit off but on the bigger screen, it looks genuine. The down-tube decal placement looked a bit funky but I remember there was some questionable placement issues the year before.

For sure the stem has been stripped of it's paint.

The ebay one? It's a 1993 stem.

*edit* it's a 1994 stem. in 95 the Kilauea had the fork mounted canti hanger.
