I'm glad I outed this.... seat post stuck?

So am I!

Seatpost......was yesterday, isn't today. :D Overnight squirt of WD40 and a quick thud with a rubber mallet was all that was needed. I did buy it in the knowledge it would need some persuasion....glad it wasn't much

Its got 27 years of ground in dirt to get through.....but underneath its not showing much wear so I am hoping you are right. Assuming i keep it I'll bung up a thread ...and if I don't i am sure the new owner will

I like the look of that - looks like it will probably clean up quite nicely...

No..not £30 ! I wish!

He relisted it after receiving some "advice" from some experts (bstds!)

Still a reasonable price tho as it's in good condition for a 1990

So how much did you snag it for in the end? Who, in their right mind, "advises" a seller on Fleabay that their retro bike is too cheap and to increase the selling price?

People who want it but it's too far for them to pick it up

I asked the seller and they were prepared to post if they had to,guess they didn't think to ask.

Re:

Think I am going to pass this one on after all.....I just don't have the enthusiasm for it..... but I know someone who does!. Would probably double my money splitting it but think this one needs to stay as god intended

Re:

Now stripped to the bones .....looks like it will shine up ok.

Should be off to its new owner shortly :xmas-wink:
