For sale: Surly Karate Monkey Ops 16" double-butted 4130 frame and fork combo in the spectacular 'spraytan' brown/bronze/gold clearcoat.
This was bought in Dec 2014 from Charlie the Bikemonger and slowly built up over the course of several months early this year. Since then it has been ridden only twice, for a total of about 25 miles.
The bike from new comes with multiple dropout options 1) Sliding dropouts for single-speed 2) Disc dropouts for standard QR axle 3) Modern 12mmx142mm disc dropouts.
I built it with the QR dropouts, all three are included with the other two unused. Also included is the direct-mount front mech seattube adapter & thru-axle.
The frame has marks on the seattube from front mech fitting and two small chips (see photos - there are only two marks from the front mech, the rest of what looks like scratches are reflections from the 'Surly Natch CroMo foil sticker!)
It was used with a chainstay protector, Carbon patches on the BB & heli-tape on the downtube which has kept it in good nick.
It also has a Nukeproof ZS44 low-stack (11.5mm total) headset installed & included.
All this can be yours for £240 posted (UK mainland rate). Happy to post further, but I'll need to get a quote. Collection also possible from Devon/Dorset border.
Frame weight on my scales is 2,429g with QR dropouts fitted, 2,529 with headset. Forks are 1,129g with steerer cut to 168mm & star-nut fitted. With a ZS headset & 100mm headtube there's still 65mm for stem & spacers!
