Center BB to top of seat tube = 16"

I bought this quite recently because my first proper bike was a 1998 Kona Nunu celebration model (who remembers?!) and this bike looks very very similar to it.

In my ownership it has had new cables and outers throughout, new brake pads and rear noodle. It needs nothing else except new grips as the originals (yes, originals!) have perished through age. This gives you an idea of how much use this bike has seen its 14 years!

I have some ourys to go with the bike but I couldn't bring my self to take the old grips off. It still has the original Lumpy and Gravy tyres that are in fantastic condition, front and rear suspension works the same as it did on the day it left the dealer. The lower legs of the forks are almost immaculate.

You can see by the unprotected chain stay that this bike has probably never even seen dirt, certainly never mud. It still has the 'made in Taiwan' sticker on the BB!

- Who ever gets this will not be disappointed, if I wasn't being so strict about things that I should sell (some of you may have noticed I've been flogging a lot of my things just recently) I'd definitely keep this bike, even just for looking at if nothing else!

The only things that are not original on this bike are the pedals (Wellgo V12 reps) and the seat post has been swapped for a longer one.

Re: 1999 Kona Kuku. Time warp. £240

That's a very good question. I'll properly measure it tomorrow but I'm pretty sure it's a 16"

Re: 1999 Kona Kuku. Time warp. £240

That looks absolutely mint! Sadly way too small for me but take a bump!

Re: 1999 Kona Kuku. Time warp. £240

Cheers! The only components that are showing any wear are the grips as mentioned and the saddle has a few tears on the back edge where the bike has been put upside down a few times, but it is the original so I haven't changed it.

The rest of the bike is arguably the newest unrestored 14 year old Kona in the UK.

Re: 1999 Kona Kuku. Time warp. £240

As it's a sunny day I'll take some new pictures of this bike today, I may take it for a cheeky little ride too seeing as it's in such fine fettle! :D

It really is a stunner

Re: 1999 Kona Kuku. Time warp. £240 new sunshine pics!

Some pics added, I forgot to measure it though, doh!

I took it for a little spin around the woods this afternoon and have to report that it rides very sweetly, it was lovely to have a triple chain set and the rear sus is nice and supple. The whole bike feels very tight and capable as the new owner will discover :)
