03/04 Orange Patriot frame

I have sadly decided to sell my beloved Orange Patriot.

This is a 16" frame with the original Fox Vanilla shock. 190x50 with a 550lbs spring.

The bearings were upgraded to Enduro bearings about 2 years ago, and the bike doesnt get ridden much at all Hence the reason for sale.

This is a very capable downhill bike, I used it at a number of UK DH spots and an uplift day in Wales and it coped fine, no problems keeping up with my mates on their more modern DH rigs.

The headtube is 1&1/8th, 16" frame, 27.2 seatpost, QR rear end and the shock is 190 x 50mm.

The rear end can be adjusted by using the upper (5") or lower (6") eyelets.

The condition of the frame is good, only marks are cosmetic and it has no dents or cracks, just marks from general DH use & Uplifts

I'm after £170 which is a bargain for such a capable downhill frame.

I will also include an FSA Pig headset already fitted and a seat clamp and seat post to get you started.

Can't believe I still have this, its such a good strong frame for the money.

It's boxed up and needs to go so ill listen to offers as long as they aren't daft.

Hi bud.

Your frame will be a 2002/3 model due to the 2 position mounts for the rear shock.
2004 only had 1 position and 2005 saw the introduction of the patriot 66.

Orange told me that it was late 2004, possibly early 2005 from the frame number?.....

Edit, just found it in the 2003 orange brochure, so maybe I could be mistaken. Its certainly not a 2002 model though.

I always thought it was a 2004 as I had the same one. The one before had the single position and the upper mount was triangular, where they cracked?
Just been looking though, the 2004 had single position but had the brace coming from the top tube?
Turns out it is 03. Well whaddya know. Thanks for the info sex one. Id assume its 03 sold into 04?
