Just a free bump....I've always thought the Fargo a splendid bike, both in terms of design philosophy and looks. Were I capable of using one as it should be used, then it is the only bike which I would consider buying new!

But I do not understand why you do not simply do a rim swop (with a little care can probably find a near identical erd - so it's only a 1 hour job). There are some tyre/rim combos that do not work - I once had to hacksaw off a new set of rubber because having fitted them I KNEW I'd never get them off/on in a deflationary situation away from the heat of the gas fire!.

It's not the wheels, I'm just not using the bike, fatbike is still my love and I fancy a 29er SS for cardio and general duties.

Nope, it's a large so salsa say 5ft 11" to 6ft 4"
