You know what they say about relationships founded on lust and this is a simple case of that. Me being 6'4" and her being 17" a long term commitment was always going to struggle.

This bike has been ridden off road once by me, previous to that its never even been wet never mind dirty.

As an indication of its previous life, the greas in the hubs is still the original fluro yellow and the little foam pad bits are still stuck to the v-brakes.

Thinksomeone from this forum had a go of it when I took it out on its once and only ride and was a bit taken with it.

Yep that was me and what a bike, really is a fantastic example and wouldn't be surprised if its not THE best original example in the UK. I would snap it up if I had the cash.

Good luck with the sale mate.

The day I had a blast.

Didn't really want to bump this thread but it was dry enough for me to go for another potter on this today and i really am kidding my self i can get away with the size. Really i don't know what pains me more, the idea of getting rid of such perfect example or the fact i will never be able to fully enjoy it.

Long shot but if anyone has got one in large and is after a medium i would consider a swap?

Alternatively I am also a massive c'dale fan so would consider doing a deal on a sv4000 DH or nice sv freeride, got to be a large.

Please no daft offers as i dont want to cry myself to sleep.

Some pics, i will update these when i get chance but im working away this week

Image

Anyway its a 1997, M-trax (RSP), Size Medium, Full XT groupset unmarked, Judy XL forks with Matching tango tuned rockshox deluxe shock fully working , handwelded 853 steel frame. Cost new £2800 (which was a lot in 1997)

I even have the original orange banded continental tyres it shipped with when new.

Fully original in every way and the condition can only be described as immaculate making this a real collectors piece. I have loads of pics or can get any specific pic on request.
(The seat post isnt original and the forks would of had boots but apart from that its going to be as close as possible)
