1999 GT Lobo DH 1000 (Formerly a Team GT bike)

Norland_Cycles

Dirt Disciple
Almost rescued from 1999 with a time machine.
GT Lobo DH 1000 1999 Preserved in storage for almost 17 years!
The pictures can say much more than my words.
It was a team bike for the Team GT in Finland.
Hayes Mag Brakes where the brakes that Team GT chosen to replace the RS hydro-mechanic brakes that did not work well in Europe, because of maintenance and spares unavailability.
Although it was almost 17 years in storage, it means that brakes and suspensions hasn't been serviced during that time as well, I suggest service for the rear shock and rear brake will make this goodness to be fully operational.

By the way, the frame is L size, then it would be perfect for those who want to build a Peat or Carter team bike replica

Re:

BTW, here is some pic of Team GT Eric Carter's DS prototype featuring Hayes Disc brake
(Just making my point on the originality of the Hayes brakes on Lobo bike)

 nice, love Lobo's. Thats in good condition for an ex race bike! Has it got the long travel rear shock fitted? I thought team GT used Hope brakes on the Lobo's?

I guess in the UK, the team GT was using Hope Brakes, in the US and most of countries they replaced RS hydromechanical with Hayes as you can see in the DS prototype used by E.Carter. In 2001 the Hayes Mag were already OEM in GT DHI, and other GT high end models.
About the shock, I have no idea, I'm a bit ignorant about RS, I been always a Marzocchist. That's one of the reasons why this Lobo is searching for a new home.

Norland cycles Do you have any more gt s I m looking for a gt fury in carbon that takes 26 " wheels year 2011 - 2013

Not at the moment. Fury Carbon is too new for my collection, the only new bikes I have are those I design myself, and one RM slayer I use as control bike for my design tests.
