I think I might have an 8611 SBDU "Road Champion" 531 Pro from 1986 on the way to me.

I have the Ilkeston Model List from 1986 that's available on the web but after seraching for hours I can't find any photos of the 8611.

I'm pretty sure it's very similar to the 1985 531 Pro Super but I'd love to get my hands on a catalogue pic or photo of the real thing.

Failing that if anyone has a higher res version of the attached 1985 page I'd appreciate it.

Found the 1986 catalogue on here eventually which is great.

Is the attached the only catalogue page with colour photo(s) produced on Ilkeston models in 1986. It's a shame if that's the case. 1987 looks to be the same.

Anyway, would still love if someone had a good res pic of an 8611 from 1986. I have been searching and trawling through pages of readers bikes on here which is fun in it's own right but still leaves me searching.

I know portions of it and have avoided finding out in full. I'm enjoying the anticipation of getting my hands on the bike and flipping it over to read the number.

I think it's either a 1986 or 1987, Ilkeston or Nottingham. Either way I won't be too disappointed but it would be extra nice if it's Ilkeston.

It's arrived and it's beautiful!

1986 Ilkeston Road Champion.

I'll start a proper thread when I've had a chance to take some photos.
