Gorgeous Carlton Frame

Nice :). Secong gen Carlton Giro D'italia, the originals had a tapering Victor seat cluster that kept breaking.

Re:

Thanks for the info Midlife :D

If it was just a 1/2 inch smaller  I absolutely know 23 1/2" is my limit :(

This is a common link and apologies if you have read it but nice info.

Thank you Midlife that certainly is a fascinating read, made even more so by a couple of facts. 1) I used to ride on Brian Jolly's Carlton T.D.F. team bike as our 'shop' bike. 2) When Team Raleigh were here 'Great Yarmouth' doing a seafront criterium I got George Shaw's autograph, though he was team manager and slightly bemused as to why I wanted it ;)

Thanks :). Just out of curiosity which shop did you work in? I worked at Cliff Pratt Cycles in Hull back in the 70's.

Re:

Would have been in the Wherry, The George Borrow and the Hotel Oulton Broad on a Saturday night. Do you remember the shop :?:
