931 is one of the new stainless tubesets. So north of a grand is perfectly normal.
Cheapest i've seen for a road frame was about a grand. Maybe £950?

But i haven't looked for a while, prices may have shifted.

ANd i don't think Mercian even work with any stainless tubesets............ so not really comparable.

No real details and doesn't even mention size.

Logos/decals look cheap to me as well, not befitting a high end quality frame. Imagine I could knock something out similar on an hour of Microsoft Paint and I am a computer imbecile

Just because its a Reynolds stainless frameset doesn't mean it was built with any skill

I would want to know who built it and where for that sort of money.
It also isn't well represented for that money, it looks like a cheap powder coat and some £5 ebay decals.
On that advert alone it wouldn't entice me to click through to the website.

For a top quality steel frame, that's easily comparable to modern carbon. Yes.

If you think frame material peaked with 531.
Look elsewhere.
