eBay - Am I missing something here?

It does look in amazing condition. A mate of mine had something similar back in the day, but I wouldn't pay two grand for a car, never mind a pushbike.

I bought a completely original, virtually NOS Raleigh Competition 1985 on eBay for a tenth of that price!

Bargain postage on that one though!!
 
Nice to see the lovely original colour though, most of the ones you see have faded a bit.

I absolutely loved my Record Ace and pretty much lived on it till some scrote nicked it. ...it cost £180 new (I think retail was about £220 in '83..?)
