This is very close to being a very special bike just needs the finishing touches but..........

...bid with caution as he is bidding up the auction himself through friends. Check out the retracted bids on of which is mine!

I have already fallen foul of him in the last few days.

Me too Shaun, I really fancied this bike but fear that he will bid up the auction again. Left a sour taste!

Just curious as I left cycling in 1978 so this is a later frame, the geometry looks wrong for a Martyn Pyne type TT frame. Ellis Briggs sold them for £155 off the peg but doesn't look like one of then either.

There again it was all a bit hit and miss about that time LOL

Frame number would be nice. Going to post the question......

Agree with you there Kermit, certainly nothing like Mr Pyne's TT Raleigh bike......

Reply says 57H816 AND SB3028.......

Stamped on the bottom bracket so looks like an SBDU frame.

I personally had little doubt over authenticity and will be fine bike once complete. I had a dream!

Checked the item again and yet more retracted bids. Not playing a very fair game there.

Strange auction, price kept going down and now it's cancelled.
