I have owned this bike since brand-new and it has been well looked after.
It has been well used but also well loved and is great condition for its age.
1991(ish)
12 speed
Weinmann 414 alloy wheels with Mallard hubs and quick release skewers
Frame size: 23” (I’m just around 6 foot at it fits me perfectly).
Full strip-down and rebuild last August with upgraded/replaced parts:
New Shimano Deore sealed bottom bracket
New Shimano front derailleur
New Shimano rear derailleur
Touring brake-lever extensions
New chain
Features brand-new 700x25 Michelin Speedium 2 tyres (never been used)
You may want to re-tape the handlebars but that is the only thing that really needs doing.
I will include a set of Sakae pedals and Specialized toe clips.
If this bike continues to be looked after, there is no reason why it can’t last forever.
Prior to upgrading, the bike it was stored, unused, in a garage for around 15 years.
It has just completed the London to Brighton without a grumble and kept-up with the modern ultra-bikes!
