Doesn't believe in doing much in the way of pictures or description for his money :o . The fact that he's not seen many seems to make him think it's worth a staggeringly unrealistic price. Quite fancy telling him that I've got one he can have for 10k which will leave him 30k profit

I've just asked him if he is serious. I'll post his reply if he clarifies matters.

I guess he's looking forward to keeping it, or catching some late night drink fuel surfing.

I've been asking about the bike again.

Sorry to keep bothering you, I have another query. In your write-up you twice mention the price is £100k, the same as the Buy-it-Now price. However, the bidding starts at £40k. If I put in a bid the Buy-it-Now option will vanish, and as there is no reserve if I am the only bidder I will win the bike for £40k. Does this mean you will be willing to sell for £40k or will you ask for the full £100k if I won the auction?

hi there, i see what your saying. make me an offer if you would like the bike.

I am going to put in an offer later but I'm not quite sure where to pitch it.

Be carefull with what you offer, I don't think it's worth more than £300, sure you don't see many 531 banana frames, but that does not make them that expensive! The parts are nothing to really get worked up about, so please don't get fleeced.
Consider what an Ilkeston 753 in those colours would be worth, or even what an ex team frame would be worth and they would still be a fraction of what the guy thinks his off the peg 531 is worth.

I'm thinking of offering twenty thousand pounds and see ih he bites or holds out for the full hundred for his "dream" machine.
