A blatant lie first spread by the company, then withdrawn, then spread again in abroad! The company was started in the late 90's by a couple of students that saw a market opening when the flood of cheep used
military bikes were drying out. So they started production in China of a similar bike. Judging by all the consumer complaints it's made from recycled refrigerators and such.
The "original" bikes were decommissioned as the defence forces would no longer cycle or being towed by tractors (!) into location. Non of these bikes were manufactured after the 70's so obviously non were made by
Kronan. Instead these contracts were awarded to a number of Swedish companies and the most sought after are the ones made by Husqvarna.
